Re: YZ85 reed valves.....are they worth the effort?
YZ85 V-Force reeds will flow more air than std and even TDR reeds. My ported engine have 0,8 mm. squish, std carbs With std jetting, std elephant ears, std airbox With rubber inlets and std air filter, std 47X cdi, standard 47x exhaust, and zeeltronic PV Controller. 86,6 rear Wheel HP. The Zeeltroni...

I see above there are folks reporting interest in an RD500 harness. Has this been replicated?
Would be VERY interested in a new harness for my newly restored RD.
Feels awful to put that oily, butchered mess back onto the repainted frame.....

Bill
They were sold by a private seller in Japan. dont recall were, its some years ago.
The belly diameter is 102 millimeters. I think that is about maximum diameter to fit inside std seat fairings without problems.

Re: RZV500R restoration
Mark I felt exhaust wrap was a necisity because rear pipes are very close to the YPVS servo, fuel tank and battery box. Wrapping will keep the pipes hotter, in theory it may compensate for a bit more tuned length compared to the Jollys. More temperature could in theory make this JAP pipes give power...

Re: RZV500R restoration
Giron I dont know what brand it actually is. The good thing was that the silencer mounting flange was correct for my TYGA Performance silencers. Then I sent a pair of TYGA mounting flanges with my order of two bottom pipes to Jollymoto and they welded the TYGA flanges on to my pipes. Ordered the Jol...

Re: RZV500R restoration
The JAP pipes have very similar design/dimentions as the Jollys, but a with a bit more tuned length on the JAPS. This was actually my aim, because I felt the straigth Jollys on the rear cylinders was too short and could be a bit peaky. I reckoned Jollys on the rear cylinders also would give me very ...

Re: RZV500R restoration
Yes Paul :) Very good quality and design of this pipes. This is a pair of cross over type JAP made pipes, bougth the pair brand new in Japan. My bottom pipes is Jollys. Wasnt sure if the JAP pipes would fit, but took a change and bougth them for a reasonable amount of $. Had to modify the left one a...
