Re: RZV 500 fuel level sending unit.

here is a picture of my original rzv500r tank . ( It has been epoxy coated inside , so that is why the metal sheet look thicker than normal ...) I agree with Giron , you should at least try to find the original sender unit , the right handle switch and the temperature/fuel combination gauge . auctio...

the Yamaha Paddock stand for RZV500R was sold as optional part number 51X-W0780-00 (main stand kit ) of course it is NLA . what i did not know is that the shaft bar on that kit was also sold separately as part 51X-27112-50 NLA as well . and not listed in any part catalogue . Re: Front suspension

after rebuild ( new seals , new bushes , new oil , refurbished anti-dive ) (same springs ) the sag is about 15/20 mm . I also heard that this is normal . after rebuild , the most obvious difference is the anti-dive . the fork will be much harder when holding the brake lever . (before , it was "...

Re: Front suspension

I would say , just follow the steps in the workshop manual . beware RZV500R and RZ500/RD500 forks are different . So follow the proper workshop . The inner fork bushing is not sold by Yamaha . here is one that fits : SKTE37S sold by Inteck USA (it's manufactured by SKF in fact ) : 38 mm outside diam...

Re: question about front wheel assembly .

if i torque the front axle bolt , the gap will disapear (as this puts stress on the fork leg/front tubes assembly ) . I think that this stress on the fork legs/ forktubes assembly might lead to quick wearing of fork bushes . and a fork that does not slide well . When i refurbished the fork , the bus...
