@Luther.
Has anyone ever tried to reach out to Yamaha to find the original engine designers? Get the history from them?
I too have wondered what the thinking behind this engine was.

Front fairing bird cage... RG500 vs RG400 vs RG250
Hello, I drove 4 hours away from my home last year to pickup a birdcage/front frame for my RGx00 project and some other parts. The whole trip seems to have been a disaster. The front forks I picked up were slightly bent, judging by the internals modified for racing... (There was plastic tubes inside...

Fuse Holder / Mount - Metal Stand off? Picture.
Hello, The RZ5 has a fuse block which holds server fuses I believe somewhere with the front fairing. We have the fuse block and rubber wrap mount... But don't seem to have the metal stand? Looks like the fuse block inserts from the bottom and has a little locking tab. Does anyone have a picture of t...

Re: Protecting Wiring / Spiral Wrap & Split Tubing

The RZ stuff just looks dinosaur to me.
Will try to get nylon, larger heat shrink and proper tape as shown.
Thanks Again
Tony.

Protecting Wiring / Spiral Wrap & Split Tubing
Hello, I'm looking to protect wiring from getting damaged over time. The original RZ harness (at least I believe it came with this) has split tubing protecting some of it. With the addition of a aftermarket Speedo/Tach, changes to the rear sub-frame and its cable routing there is more to protect. I'...
