Re: RC45's Project-OW81 - YZR clutch lever

For the moment it is not planed to build other engines. We need to build our 4 engines, even if we will have all the tools to built them, we will see later for other one.
It is a very big amont of work to build one.

You are OK, lower brackets are in 5mm. It's too thin. Now I'm making 2 news brackets in 10 mm depth for the lower mount. (because need to move up the engine from 10mm) For the upper, why removing the original brackets for new ones if they fit well ? They are well positioned, just need to shortened f...

Geosot,
OK but there's no kick on your solutions and for me that's a big issue.
Same for removing the clutch cover.
If I keep the kick, I can't weld up some bracing around the kickstart because the clutch cover is in line with the frame, not inside.

Wolfgangh, One member of our french 500RD club made this mod without any problem. His bike run well. I understand the stiffness will decrease but compared to an orginal alu RZV frame which is a shame nowadays ? If I remember, the result was nearly the same on your RZ500 Rainey 91 replica after modif...

See photos: You can see the frame mod for the kick. You need to cut a part of the subframe mount points. The front hole is removed. http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii229/solex27/Frame%20modifications/IMG_4026.jpg The engine in position in the frame. The engine need to be higher in the frame from ...

Hello, I come back after a long period on an other project (250 RGV complete rebuild) As you, I started to build a RS-RD 500 3 month ago. I stopped my old project based on the original steel frame with R1 fairings. So I decided to cut the RS 250 frame in the kick area and to make reinforcement in th...

125 TZR Athena big bore kit on RD500 (684cc)

Hi, I'm studying a 2nd conversion possibility (instead of 3MA cylinder conversion) by using 4 athena DTR/TZR/TDR 125 big bore kit. The manufacture is really good, reliable. The piston is made by Wossner (Germany) and forged. diameter is 65mm (165cc) with Nickasil bore. So it give's same result as Gu...

500 RD engine with 3MA barrels

Hi, I have the idea to put 4 TZR 250 3MA barrels on my 2nd engine. I think it's not so difficult to fit 3MA on the case, the gudgeons holes are easy to mod (similar to TZR 400 mod). I need to weld a torque box for reeds on two 3MA barrels for upper cylinders. No easier but possible. But I have one m...

Hi, I have made my rear subframe conversion with R1 2003 model. It's not so difficult and fit perfectly with pipes. The work is not finished, I need to strengthen the original subframe on the tank fix area. http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii229/solex27/Frame%20modifications/berceauARR12003.jpg Wi...
