carburettor float removal

Hi,<br> I'm curious to hear any tips on removing the float pin from the posts it is pressed into ( to remove the float and enable access to the needle & seat assy)<br> It looks a bit fragile.<p>GuyH

It's very fragile!! What I do is to take a small socket (say 8mm) and clamp it in my vice. Then rest the one post against the open end of the socket so the pin will be driven into the opening of the socket and GENTLY tap the pin out until the head is about 1/8" out. Then take pliers and GENTLY twist and pull the pin the rest of the way out.
