TZR 250 Frame

#1 Post by Bruce Stuart » Wed Oct 12, 2005 6:54 am

I know someone out there has picked up one of those TZR 250 frames (you know the one with the two top pipes 3M something or other) and said "I'm sure my 500 motor will work in one of these" then actually gone out and fitted it. Can anyone tell me if this is a bad idea or not or should I just through the TZR frame away. I don't even want to put the motor next to the frame incase it seems like a good idea and then turns out to be more work than pleasure. Any input will be appreciated.

Hi,
Talk to Nigel at NK Racing - he does the RD500 / 3MA Frame conversions as part of his business - I know he will just fit the engine if thats all you want to do.
There are photo's and contact details at :-
http://www.nkracing.co.uk/
NB:- I've also seen RD500 engines in TZR250 2MA and 3XV frames - I think for what its worth that the 3MA looked the most natural frame for this engine.
Regards
Paul
