Last of the summer heat (hopefully)

#1 Post by pstamper » Mon Sep 29, 2014 7:40 pm

Took old reliable out. Low 90s out. Went to Harley hang out. Parked in the shade away from show bikes.. Was interesting watching the crowd as we ate lunch. Four riders looked the bike over early then some guy ,much older, with a trike, hauling a fricking trailer with a piece of furniture, pulls up beside my bike. As we watched him chat, he used my throttle as a crutch to lean on and actually twisted the throttle several times. Was just about to have a chat and tell him it is not fuel injected and hope it starts, but they decided to get their furniture show on the road. I could not believe him. You do not touch a car at a car show and same with someone's bike. A good 170 miles, no issues, and watched the Aragon Moto GP, one of the best races this season. Rossi has a few weeks to heal up. He needs to finish his career healthy.

Thanks, she cleans up nice for an old girl. Wish I would of saw you so I could of ridden your RZ. Next time will text the day before. Steve had his new Columbian gal friend with him so he did not want to be out long.. I told him we need to go to Fayettville next. We will switch bikes for a while. The bugs were terrible Sunday. Have you heard anything about either RZ. Did you watch the Aragon GP race?

Is that the spot on FM244 north of Hiway 30?

I have been crisscrossing all the roads in grimes county the last couple weekend in the Vette. Do about 200 miles each run. I have been hoping the hot weather sticks around so I can finish my radiator and oil cooler testing.

What time are you normally out to do your runs?
