RZ COTA return

#1 Post by pstamper » Sat May 23, 2015 2:20 am

Rain this weekend so time to reassemble from last incident at COTA. Screw those 675 Triumphs, get the hell out of the way. :smt018 :smt018 :smt018. They should not rent bikes at a race track like COTA no matter what your experience. New EBC rotors since Rick Lance has sold me on them, and yes they work great. Upgrade to EBC EPFA pads from the HH http://ebcbrakes.com/product/extreme-pro-brake-pads/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for a little more stopping power for those big liter BMWs and Ducati bikes with anti lock brakes and traction control. And the more aggressive Pirelli SP street tire http://www.pirelli.com/tyre/ww/en/motor ... sa_sp.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; so I can ride on the road. EBC recommends a 200 mile bed in for brakes and then it is all on me. Leathers are all repaired and I should say excellent job from Leather and Lace http://www.leatherlaceracing.com/leather-repair-service" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Looking at new race boots from a friend from 2 years ago at the track. He said they squeak so I am all over them for the price. http://www.gaerneusa.com/gp1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Gloves are at Alpinestar being repaired under warranty. Truthfully not impressed with finger stitching on the gloves. The HELD Phantoms are assembled much better. Again a recommendation of Rick's. More pics after assembly. Dang expansion chamber dent screwing the pictures up.

Shop cat approved, easy on the paws, and the wine is OK also. Need a Pirelli sticker

Was bottom of bottle. Celebrated because all my parts are in and I was able to get my underground electrical piping in on Friday. Had a little headache this morn. Two days to put bike together.

Short ride to bed the brakes in. EBC recommends 200.. Another 50 to go. Only issue with reassembly is small oil leak at the crush washers of the transmission line on clutch cover. Wait till Yamaha opens Tuesday. Would leave the bike naked if the old girl was not so ugly and beat up.

Nice day between all the storms.
