And This Makes 8

Brought this 1988 NT650 RC31 home yesterday. Downsized from 11 bikes to 7 over the summer. Said I wouldn't add more. I lied.

Nice Clean Bike John.
Yeah, I go through the same issues with my wife...
Must be normal for them to not want us to enjoy our lives/hobbies???
Mine is still going on about the TDR250 purchase. When will it end???

We have an arrangement here Frank; my wife never says anything about the bikes and I don't say anything about the daily shopping trips her and my daughters take. Seems to work well.

The biggest issue here is space. I just don't have any. If I did have more, I just have more bikes. Downsizing to 7 made it easy. Now that I'm up to 8 again it gets a bit more problematic for storage. Just have to be creative.

I really like this latest bike. That single sided swingarm is just too damned sexy. For a 27 year old bike it is in amazing condition. It really does look new. It's a US model originally from Michigan and looks to have lead a charmed life. Ultimately, I think it's the colour that sold me. Any other colour and I likely would have passed.

I haven't ridden it yet and likely won't until next year.

Handling is said to be quite good and they are a favourite among racers. That frame came directly from Honda's then current 250 GP bike, so with that in mind it is easy to see the potential.

The dry weight is about 20 kg more than an RZ350. With the NT650 motor out and the RZ350 motor installed the all up weight would be quite a bit less. Wonder if the 500 motor would fit? The frame is quite narrow.

Never! My wife is trying to keep the number of my bikes down, so she desperatly tries to keep this system: If a new bike enters the garage, then an old one has to leave. It's not bulletproof and the number of bikes are rising, but sometimes I obey her system.

Like when I sold my Velo Solex. Like this one:

To get such one:

She wasn't impressed

Now my kids have started looking at mopeds. We just bought eight similar vintage Yamaha mopeds. Let's restauration begin!

If I had a signature, it would be good.
