Dragster

Six of the seven bikes I own are two-strokes and I've always been a "Two-stroke guy".

However, a few years ago, I got a WR250X and it's calmed my former predjudice against four-stroke bikes.

Recently, I saw a 2016 MV Agusta Brutale Dragster 800 RR - and I just can't get it out of my head.

I think it's just a matter of finding the best price. I got an out-the -door price today from Pro Italia ($19,900). I've been reading reviews and info on the MV Forums. Very few bad words about this bike.

If Satan rode a motorcycle, that would be it. That thing looks pure evil. And fun. :snakeman:

I haven't read anything specific, yet - but I've heard that rear wheels have been replaced due to cracking and breakage.

Never trued a SSSA wheel before. I'm hoping it's the same as a standard wheel. Gonna need a huge truing stand since the rear tire is a 200!

Check out the spoked wheels up close. I've never seen any constructed like this.

The white wheels (on the red/white bike) are more popular than the black wheels!

I guess people like them because they REALLY stand out.

They definitely stand out way too much for me.

One of the main reasons I want the red/black bike. :smt023

I think the construction of the wheels is unique and very cool.

The black wheels in the first pic look okay?

Check it out!

I just figured out that these are Kineo wheels.

Never seen them before.

Here are a few things that are helping me to choose this bike.

Compared to the average 2016 Supersport Bike, the Brutale 800 Dragster RR:
Is $2,303 more expensive at $17,998.
Is typical in terms of displacement at 798cc
Is 3.5% more efficient with a compression ratio of 13.30:1
Produces 34 more horsepower at 140 hp
Is 5 lbs lighter dry at 370 lbs

First production bike with full aluminum forks (Marzocchi).
The lower (aluminum) fork tubes are DLC coated. I didn't know aluminum can be DLC coated.
First production bike with a quickshifter that has computer controlled downshifting.
Engine makes more HP than any other production 800.

I love the naked look, My last 4-stroke street bike was a Speed Triple, I put 38K on it in 3 1/2 years, never skipped a beat...
