I know it's been done to death, but for those interested here is my Wayne Rainey tribute RZV project. The bike has been sitting incomplete for many years. This is the year that the blue smoke finally burns. I purchased the frame in Canada and transferred everything from a running RZ. The frame has been heavily modified as you can tell. The motor is built to the point that it requires 110 leaded fuel mixed at 20:1. It should be a blast to ride, I just hope that it's not a rolling grenade with a short fuse, as is often the case with motors that are built to the edge. Just a few notable features;
Marchesini CBR900RR wheels
'99 R1 front end
YZF750 swingarm
YZR tail (AirTech)
Custom made sub-frame
Upper fairing stay courtesy of Wyn Belorusky

Can you please explain or show better pics of your frame mods?

Did RGVSteve had anything to do with the upper fairing stay. I know that RGVSteve did a lot of the modifications to Wynn's bike.

That sounds right. I'm pretty sure it was RGVSteve who built the fairing stay.giron wrote:Did RGVSteve had anything to do with the upper fairing stay. I know that RGVSteve did a lot of the modifications to Wynn's bike.
Sure, I welded in some rectangular aluminum tubing on both sides of the frame's main section. In addition I welded aluminum plate to the openings where the upper and lower sections of the frame meet at the steering head. I also fabricated a bolt on subframe. Hopefully these pics will give you a better idea:Smoker wrote:Can hardly see the frame mods in the pics.ohiosuperbike wrote:The frame has been heavily modified as you can tell.
