What isn't visible in the photos is the multitude of cracks I found in the fairing under the mirrors. Typical Gamma fairing problem. It's aggravating.
Mines the same, and its dark blue, almost black, almost impossible to hide them!

I brushed acetone into the cracks and fused them from the inside. A bit of the acetone went through to the front, so some paint fixing needed. I'm going to try brushing it on and then cut and polish. Most is under the mirrors, but some is beyond which is disappointing. The whole bike was painted and the painter didn't address the cracks. :smt013

Awesome work on these bikes.

Quality photos are really necessary to show the perfect details.

Is the frame on the TZR still anodized....or has it been painted?
What years were the TZR available in Canada?

That TZR frame is all stock. It still had the protective shipping tape on it when I got the bike in 2011. Took many hours to remove it. The bike is a 1987 2ME Cdn spec. The only year it was sold here and in very limited numbers. Price was $6000 in 1987 and there were bigger and better options I suppose.

The bike had 15,918 KM on it when I bought it in 2011. 2 prior owners, both within 6 hours of me. After buying it in 2011 it sat in a shed here for over 4 years before I touched it. It was parked beside the RGV250 VJ21 I bought the same week (now beautifully restored by straycat). The TZR was a complete strip to the smallest components, including the engine. All work done in one of my sheds, before the garage was built. I rode the bike only once since buying it, and that was last summer (2017), post restoration. I put 200 km on it during it's break-in/shakedown. Amazing little bike.

More on the bike here http://www.rzrd500.com/500phpBB3/viewto ... =7&t=13629" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Work in the garage has come to a screeching halt. Broken hand (small metacarpal) and broken radius.

It's not bad Paul. A bit uncomfortable, but no meds needed, not even the day it happened. Must be getting tougher in my old age, or dumber.
