Only 4 of the 500's came as complete bikes. The rest were assembled from rescued parts. I just hate to see the stuff lay around and turn to crap. I've been obsessed with them since I bought one new in 1985.

Well there is nothing like a good healthy obsession, is there?

How do you pick which one to ride at any given moment? Seems like that would be a hard choice. I have that problem between my RZ500 and RZ350 as it is.

Oh the choices we have to make!

The Yellow/Black and the Streetfighter are my usual riders. The Spondon comes out sometimes and the RZ350 with the R1/FZ mods gets out too and is a blast. Andy Jones did the motor on the Yellow/Black and its and RZV frame with GSXR rear wheel and YZF600 front. The Streetfighter has a BJ motor, RI front and YZF600 rear wheel and is a steel frame. The R1 is my touring bike. The others aren't ridden but are started regularly and completely ready to ride.

Guys, thanks for the nice comments I know I'm off the deep end with this obsession but it's nice to know you guys understand. . Monoboy as you may have guessed I favor the Yamaha. The RG is a lot of fun but the lack of low end and midrange makes it less fun on the street most of the time. The Suzuki exhaust chamber doesn't seem to work as well as the YPVS so you need a bunch of revs and some clutch slipping to get going but after that hold on. Bottom line they both beat any other street bike hands down for pure riding enjoyment for me.

Could I see a photo of your wife?

I just want to know what kind of woman tolerates this behaviour.

Never thought I would hear that, but given the choices, seems like a fair statement. Great collection! :smt023 :supz:

Thanks for the kind comments and you're right I'm very sick and not getting any better. I am also very lucky to have a very tolerant wife.
