I mowed the holes....don´t remember how much.
I think I raised the rear approx 50 mm when changing the rearrim to 17".
The Honda damper was a little bit shorter then org so I had to redoit again.

rich bullock wrote:That is one very good looking bike, nicely updated but retaining the original looks. Got to be one of the best looking paint schemes of any bike out there, sometimes the standard paint schemes are just so right.
Looks like the rear ride height has been increased, how much and how have you done this.
Rich.
Upgraded but retain the original look....thats my intension from start.
The paintscheme is what you say...I like it to !
Regarding the looks of the bike....it´s no mintcondition restoration, but sure it is look good, doesn´t it !!

I think it was NK Racing that did the adjustable ride height kits. Check their site, it"s been a while since i looked.

My mod was a 10mm shock mount adjustment which equated to about 50mm ride height increase.
But 17inch rims and expansion chambers = no ground clearence. And after this 10mm mod, the pipes can still touch ground on a track day, so I'd recommend moving the shock mount at least 15mm backward.
I'd rather have a high backend than low.
And it also depends on your waistline and how much pre-load adjustment you have!!!

Hello aaronmvrider !
I just went to a bike/ scooter-retailer and looked at the bikes and scooters and looked out something that I thought would fit.
I think I got the mirrors from a Honda-scooter of some kind.
Pretty cheap was them, think I paid about 14-15Usd for both of them.
Did cut the arms to whay I thought would be right and welded them to the org arm with the mountingpiece that fit on the bike.
I think they fit the bike really well

At last I took the bike out of the garage for the first time this year.
Still cold but atleast it is pretty warm in the sun.
Started up second kick, synked the carbs and then fitted the farings.
Nice sound....springtime
!
Looks good and ready

Love your bike.
I am using YZF750 forks on my current bike as well.
I am wondering why you have the forks sticking out of the top triple so far when the forks are already shorter than the originals?
Does it have something to do with the 17 inch rear wheel?

Thank´s 2smoke
Have been lowering the frontend bit by bit since I fitted the YZF-forks on the bike.
I wanted to get a more quick steering.....that´s all.
As it is now I can´t lower it more because of lack of clearence between front wheelfender and upper fairing when the fork is at max compression.

You're bike looks amazing!
I'm currently looking around to buy a RD 500. Not easy to find in Sweden.
Would be really nice to see You're bike IRL some time.
