I may still have the magazines for that race. I'll check, I've seen some pix but nothing really great.

Noticed that something was being cooked...

So after a quick read to the thread, the goal is to built up an entire bike using donated parts and at the same time to participate to a raffle to a re-build kit, isn't it?

I'll receive some parts that got from eBay, a few repeated, so will check which ones could I donate.

Actually if I remember right they were 680 cc. Gotta love how Roberts is sucking the paint off the tank... :smt045

Hi guys

If I win the raffle, I do want to donate the parts for sale for the benefit of the club build. What else is involved in the raffle? Unfortunatly, this year I will be on vacation from July 3 until July 11, and I will be out of country.
This will be the first MotoGP race at Laguna that I will miss since well befoe they started racing MotoGP races. It was a tough decision, but Aruba does have its draw too................

I forgot.....

My $0.02 as far as paint goes is as follows.... Same paint scheme as the above two photos, but using Red where the Yellow is, and Blue where the Black is. This way, we are using the original colors of the bike, and paying tribute to one of the greatest.................................

Paul... will certainly miss you at the GP this year ... you have always been one of the those I could always count on being there for our dinner meet... even if you didn't always have a 2-stroke in the parking area....

I will have to agree with you on the paint scheme... as much as I liked the KR Daytona Specials, that color layout was a U.S. Yamaha racing-only livery... I believe what we're accomplishing here is a true "world build"...

The true GP factory colors back then were red-white-blue (or black)... and that's what I think our replica build should be based on....

One question though. Can we purchase more than one raffle?

Sorry, Max.. been meaning to get to your question but, well... you know

Gus and I talked it over and, as you know, in any "raffle" those that buy-in with the most "tickets" stand the best chance of pulling off a win.

And since we set this up as a "raffle".... well, it is open to however much you wish to throw into the pot for the "goods"...

So, yes... you can buy more than one "ticket" for this deal...

"Do you feel lucky... well - do you?"
