Anyone have a CAD drawing, or photos, or just dimensions, for the ATAC chamber expanders? I'd like to try a set.
This is easier http://www.classicracereplicas.com/Hond ... acer-Packs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It isn't likely there are any proprietary rights to his spacers as it isn't exactly new technology. It is the same principle as reed block spacers. If you want to make your own use a new gasket and trace the dimensions.

Cool. And I wouldn't be selling them, just for my own use. You're talking about an OEM ATAC chamber gasket, right?

But, I don't understand. Why 3 or 4 spacers? If you have a stock engine, would you use 1, and with more engine mods 2, and with lots of mods 3, and big bore 4?

2002tiil said 3-4 spacers (per cylinder). 12 spacers would use 15 gaskets. Seems like a lot of unecessary risk for air leaks. Why not use one spacer (per cylinder) of the correct length? That's 3 spacers and 6 gaskets, just one extra gasket per cylinder.

Remember, there is no ATAC on the upper cylinder.

My friend Rothmans NS and my 350LC just outside St Tropez on the coast road in the South of France last year, the light down there makes the blue paintwork appear even more vibrant. Not the best of pics to show it mind!

I used 3 pieces for the extra volume of the ATAC chamber for front cilinders. That'll be ca 4 - 5 cm's, but you could allso CNC one piece in that form. JCA (pipe builders, correct me if the name is wrong) had them also, ATAC expanders they were called .

My pipes are standard ones, if you go with Jolly's i've seen on a NS, ATAC's needed to be removed.

Exactly. For those that don't know, ATAC chambers are only used with stock pipes. If you use aftermarket pipes the ATAC chambers are removed, so spacers aren't an option.

Danke :)

Some infos:
- 62000km, original engine in parts with damaged crankshaft main bearing. But disassembled early enough, no damage on the cases.
Cylinders in perfect condition, only some parts of the bearing cage left 3-4 dents in the center cylinder head.
=> If there is time I have a second engine to rebuild with the correct engine number.
- Engine with 28000km mounted (never opened) which runs quite smooth, but I will pressure test it and check everything before using it.
I don`t really trust the old seals.
- Bike itself comes with complete history (even the purchase bill from 1988 is there), up to 34000km it was serviced by Honda, and afterwards every bill is available.
- Condition: Light crash on the right side (rashes painted by hand), stickers on the lower fairings are new, rest is original.
On the left side it fell down because the side stand snaps up automatically when you just touch the bike.
Stupid design, I think it was required for registration in Europe (today`s standard are side stand switches).
Fairing looks OK, but I need to take it off to see how many little brakcets and holders are snapped off/repaired.
Overall condition of the bike is acceptable without a need to restore the bike.

All in all it`s a good bike to use it instead of putting it into the living room.

That would be me.

I have Lomas pipes, and don't know shit about the NS400R. Now need to look into removing the ATAC chambers. Didn't even know there's no ATAC on the top cylinder.

Still not sure I'll be keeping the NS400R, but I do love it. For me, it needs to be geared down quite a bit. Hope it's as easy as adding a larger rear sprocket.

Does anybody know where I get a sticker set for the bike?
Checked the fairing today and only the lower fairing is in bad condition (paint).
It`s not broken, just some scratches.

I can do the white Rothmans Honda sticker on my plotter, but not the printed stripe...
At least the upper Rothmans logo (good replica) and the white stickers on the lower Fairing are not original on mine.

I have checked a lot of Pictures in Google and found many different versions of the Rothmans Honda Sticker.
Can anyone give me a picture of the original paint?

And what is the difference between my front fender and the front fender on the pictures?
Different version (country)?

I have to learn a lot about this bike

That looks like the Japanese market front fender. Other markets got a separate fender and 2 fork covers.

RG500.com used to sell complete decal sets. That website is down now and will eventually come back up in a new format.

The Japanese market removable skirt fender is the same as the rest of the world - I believe that is a 1 piece aftermarket fender.

You're right, I missed that. The top photo is aftermarket. The other is stock Jap market.
