Spent some time today going through the electrics, found 2 wires with cover worn through, sorted them and cleaned more joints up, now have good spark on all plugs :smt023 there still seems to be an over fuelling problem as plugs get very wet and access fuel around disc valves and in air filter pipes.
I set the float height at 17mm without gasket and need some info on jet needle e clip setting just to confirm that is set right.
I put in new genuine needle valve's as well.
One other thing which was happening when I was kicking over, was it would back fire occasionally ?
All your help is very much appreciated :smt023

Ah so coil wires in the harness issues rear their ugly heads again, good news thats fixed then. First off remove those air filter pipes and drag out the gauze discs located in them and throw them FAR away if they are still in there. Go to Rick Lances site Lance gamma for the carb set up and cable adjustment ritual, its a long read....
Backfire is possibly due to prolonged over fueling trying to get the bike to start, or possible timing issues. I can only hope the crank gears are in alignment to each other and that the disc valves are set up correctly as well.
Drop in some new hotter B7ES plugs for now, so when it finally starts they can cope with the excess fuel in the cases. They will also quicken warm up of the engine and not foul while you fiddle around with adjustments.. Once its sorted out and running well to throttle inputs swap out to the 9s.
With so much wrong on this bike it appears many people in the past tried solutions to fix a problem that was never anywhere near where they were botching it up,, I mean working.
You will be happy when its finally solved.

Just an update after trying everything it turned out to be an intermittent fault with the CDI unit which I had originally tried swapping but obviously the one I swapped was also faulty šŸ™„

I just ordered a Zeeltronic unit to try. I have had some similar issues. Iā€™m hoping to eliminate the ignition issues and being able to tune the bike a bit with this.

I hope you find a solution soon.
