While the printing is good, the decal is made of a very thick material (almost a half of a mm thick) whick ruins the look of the end product. Its noticable on the speedos around the aperatures for odmeter and trip, especially if the speedo does not have a flat face but is chamfered around the aperatures, this material does not conform to that shape.
Heres one of the overlays from this seller I had to remove from a gauge a customer sent me for restoration so you can see how thick it is..
FWIW, WW bikes with the dark faces never had a single temp gauge, all ofthem had dual temp and fuel gauges.

I plan to have some made which would be actual faces not overlays, if I can ever get to devote some time to it. So far all of the RG gauges I've restored did not need anything more than some restorative work to return them to like new condition.

What material are they?

I know the work from a local company, they are printing on glas (sample picture):

Should not be a problem to print directly on the old material with a flat bed printer.
Every bigger printing company should have such a printer.
