I have a brand new Skidmarx RG500 upper fairing I imported from UK for my Wolf project, but I changed direction with the project and used a Skidmarx RGV fairing instead.

Skidmarx make really solid fiberglass fairings finished in gel coat and accurately pre-drilled, way better quality than that unfinished stuff out of california or the chinese plastic stuff. I have their fairings on my RZ too. This one has a slight flaw on the edge just in the top layer of gel coat that any decent painter can sand out, not a big deal $150 CAD plus shipping of course. PM me you email for pics, board won't let me load them.

Also have:
- a brand new Skidmarx RG500 1 piece bellypan in white Gel coat. $150
- brand new Zero Gravity RG500 smoke windscreen $80
- a pretty mint OEM RG500 Blue/white tailpiece, slight hairline crack below tail light $200
- OEM RG500 side panels, no cracks or scuffs, need repaint $100 each
- OEM RG500 seat lower panels, no cracks or scuffs, need repaint $75 each
- OEM RG500 solo seat, no cracks or scuffs, needs repaint $150
all plus shipping.

Thanks. I'm familiar with Skidmarx. I bought a complete set for my RG250 MK 3 a few years ago and had it shipped from the UK.

I'm after a genuine Suzuki upper fairing for my RG500. The bodywork on the bike is all genuine Suzuki. When I pulled the screen and mirrors off recently to do some work I discovered the fairing cracked at the mirror mounts, which is the typical problem most will experience at some point. The mirrors held things together, but one they were removed the cracks expended quickly. I have repaired them, but would prefer a genuine fairing that isn't broken.

If I was to use aftermarket, it would be this https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Front-Nose-Cowl ... 1438.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Bike looks class John,
That fairing looks like a Chinese replica to be honest.
The little stubs that hold the front indicators are identical to the Chinese part, The same blobby way they are attached to the fairing.

It is from China Paul. The best price as it's unpainted.

a lot can be said on that Chinese cowl. I bought a set of after market body work from a known gamma seller on this site. The cowl that I got did not have the small tabs for the turn signals. When I question it to the seller. He said to use shoogoo from Walmart. You live and learn and I never buy anything from this seller. :smt012 :smt012

Yes, similar experience..... I inquired about an RGV fairing from China, hard to get a straight answer about mounting tabs, one supplier offered some tabs and a tube of glue! Good luck getting all that lined up. I ended up buying the Skidmarx RGV fairing that came with all the headlight frame tabs glued in place. They were spot on too! They make a good product.

Nice bike John, think it will be hard to find 32 year old plastic without cracks. Your best bet is Yahoo Japan.

Last new OEM I heard of was 3-4 years ago and a friend paid somewhere around $1200 CAD at the time when the USD was the same value. Can't imagine what one would demand now if one surfaced? I know of a few decent ones and they are $500 and $600 and need minor work and paint!

Any chance you could post a pic of your RG with RGV fairing? Was it the VJ22? I picked up a modded RG500 and want to make some changes to the looks.. I like mine from the side but not a fan of the headlight.
