COTA track days cancelled

#1 Post by pstamper » Sat Dec 22, 2012 4:20 pm

Well the wonderful COTA people pulled the plug. All 2013 track days are cancelled and they are going a different direction. Most likely private memberships. Rather upsetting that they used 25 million in public funding and no one can use the track. From my understanding on Jalopnik site, one car group paid, COTA cashed the check. $50,000 a day I think. What do all the people that planned trips with the anticipation to use a world class facility do? Was it just a marketing ploy by them to see what interest there would be? Sad to say some events I was going to go to are off my list. Moto Gp yes, V8 Supercars and the LeMans probably not. I was so looking forward to the event at such a fantastic facility.
