Not very pc competent

I have a forum based website on my builds and was hoping someone on here could give me some advice if it is indeed possible to save all the builds and info onto my computers hard drive ie a back up?

Is it possible?

On Mac it's easy , : save as web archive in the menue and you get everything as you see it including working external links . I use it often when I see a great how to .

Since your website is forum based it is a dynamic pages website and the only way to do a backup is from server side.
Dynamic sites are generally build with server-side code combined with datas in databases that generates the pages that you see on your computer.
Doing a backup from your computer by saving the pages you see can be useful to keep important informations you want to save but won't permit you to do a restore of your website.
