Adding an image to a post:
First of all, your pictures must be formatted for use on the Web. Resize your photos so they fall close to these specs: 800x600 pixels (width x height) at 72dpi resolution.
Our Tech forum's message-posting page incorporates a "tag" for including images in your posts (look for the button with "Img" on it). One very important thing to remember when using this tag is that the image you want to display must already be available on the Internet (it cannot exist only on your computer for example). I would suggest signing up for an account on Bike Pics (bikepics.com), Imageshack (imageshack.com) or Imgur (imgur.com). Once you have uploaded your photos to the hosting service you can set up your forum post to display them.
To display an image you must surround the web address (URL) pointing to the image with tags. For example:
[img]http://the.www.address.where.your.picture.is.hosted[/img]
Some of the better image hosting sites will provide you with the web address to each of your pics, so you can just copy and paste that into your forum post between the [img] tags.
It's always a good idea to use the "Preview" feature available in the message-posting page to make sure your images are showing up as you want them to. Once you're satisfied, hit the "Submit" button and you're done!

For the picture to show, you actually have to have the whole filename.
For example:
http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/1636092/someimage.jpg
Using http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/1636092/ will not work.
Try right clicking on the image you are trying to use and choose "Copy image location".
Try pasting that in.
