Re: Carb specs
Main air jet.
upper cylinder 1,8
Lower cylinder 1,6
pilot air 1,1
needle jet 0-o

And that's all I have to say about that.

Re: Carb specs
You taking me for a ride sir? Asking the specs while you have the sheet, this is part 2 of the quiz?

Re: Carb specs
Oh no, I thought 1ge and 47x had different air jets and emulsion tubes but i guess there the same, maybe it was the rzv that differed.
Still where is the main air jet shown in the diagram ? maybe i have them in the wrong way round.

Re: Carb specs
That is the correct sheet for a "N" model..1GE
There are no adjustable air screws. The main air jets are capped off out of sight.
There is a pilot air jet in the lower area of the filter side opening.

Ahh, many thanks.
Re: Carb specs
This sheet is for 47X specs.
Just remind that float height needs to be corrected at 24.
For 1GE specs :
Main jet downsized from 195 to 165.
Needle jet downsized from O-0 to N-8.
Pilot air jet upsized from 1,1 to 1,4.
In fact all throttle range has been leaned in 1GE specs.

Re: Carb specs
Is it best to re-jet a 47X to 1GE carb specs?

Re: Carb specs
I think the assumption is that 47X 165 main jets work with the 47X needle jets and 47X pilot air jets. 1GE 195 main jets work with the 1GE needle jets and 1GE pilot air jets. Check to see which pilot air jets and which needle jets you have and then main jet as required. Of course, those jetting numbers assume your engine and pipes are stock. And as Philippe mentioned, the float height for the 1GE specs was corrected to 24 mm by a Yamaha Revision. 21 mm as the manual shows is incorrect.
Re: Carb specs
Thanks. Should I set the float height on my 47X to 21 or 24mm?

Re: Carb specs
Hi.
It is 24mm.
Start with this value on the float height and adjust it with a transparent hose on bleed screw when the carbs are set on the bike.
