Any comments?
Re: How Are These Pipes Made?
Trying to design pipes that wrap around the frame (up-pipes or down-pipes), so the stingers will need to be separate from the pipes.
These exhaust couplings aren't made for 1 inch pipe, so they would have to be custom made.
Does anyone see a problem with using this type of connection?

Re: How Are These Pipes Made?
Looks like a steel water pipe coupling. I can't see any issues with it. Not sure what your design requires, but snowmobiles utilize flexible couplings.

Re: How Are These Pipes Made?
it doesn't need one. the engine uses the front engine mount on the lower side rail. no chance of the cylinder cracking

Re: How Are These Pipes Made?
It's a sharp looking bike, but I'd definatley make some changes. It's all too easy to critique someone finished project, but for me theSmoker wrote:Any comments?
1.) entire subframe.has to go! It doesn't look clean at all, it's a complete mismatch of style. I'd try a self supporting seat pan or hidden subframe, the seat needs to stand alone
2.) The accordion radiator hose...yuk. for me a hard pipe, copper, stainless etc.. would suit the cafe/industrial look far better.
3.) The bobbed exhuast silencers, just don't do it justice, nor do the angle I also don't like crossover designs, just not my thing.
But credit due where deserved, it's someone's baby and labor of love, looks nice..I'm just very critical of atstetics, bikes are art to me, so it's always a individuals perspective. You certainly could park it in my garage...lol, but I'd break out the tools.

Re: How Are These Pipes Made?
Very unique. I always like to see something different. I wouldn't do it to my bike though. I like to keep the smoke behind me when I'm starting the bike or sitting at stop signs.
