The manual states that the side clearance limit (max) for the crank should be 0.1mm/.04" - since these are two very different dimensions, one of these two dimensions listed in the service manual must be a typo.
The "0.1mm" measurement is approximately .004", which seems awfully tight for the side clearance maximum measurement - I am guessing the correct spec limit for this dimension should be 1.0mm (or .040")
Can anyone give me the proper range for the connecting rod side clearance? I would expect it to be between .015"-.020" with .040" limit being worn out... Rick, Bill, anyone?
Thanks!
What is the correct connecting rod side clearance spec?

The correct limit for measurement "D", big end side clearance, is 0.25 -0.75 mm or 0.0098 - 0.0295 inches, or more simply, 0.01 - 0.03 inches.
For reference, that is the same value used for the RZ350 and TZR250.

Thanks Silverstrom... That makes a whole lot more sense than the service manual spec of 0.1mm. I appreciate the info and confirmation.
