oil pipe clamp

#1 Post by trix » Thu Feb 16, 2017 7:08 pm

Hi
Can anyone suggest an alternative to part 90468-02033, the little clips for the oil lines? some of the online prices are incredible and struggling to find generic hose clamps/clips that small.

I've always bought them from Yamaha. Proper fit and quite cheap. I think the last bag of 5 cost me $5.

CMS has them at 2.50 Euros each http://www.cmsnl.com/yamaha-rd500lc-198 ... ml#results" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You can also get very small spring clips (the ones with the little ears) if you need to go that way.
Available on ebay.

Be careful with the Yambits clamps. My experience has been that they don't always fit.

I have also used the small clamps from Moose Racing. Plenty of bite, but the clamps are just too big to be practical and get in the way more than anything else.

In the end I always go back to OEM. They're dirt cheap at Yamaha and guaranteed to fit properly. Why bother with anything else?

Good to know John, I haven't used the Yambits clamps, I have used the oil line though and it seems to be good quality.
