servo opining the wrong way

#1 Post by shergar » Sat Nov 10, 2018 4:50 pm

dose anyone have an opinion on the problem im having on my rd500 , the servo moves from front to back rather than the way it should back to front , i have a zeeltronic fitted to the bike . i know someone here had the same problem and was told it is rare but an odd rd500 did this and just to switch certain wires around but how can this be anyway correct as surly the bike could not run right from production if like this or is it the zeel thats causing the problem or the servo thats wrong ? all help very welcome , ta

For sure, it didn't run like this from production.
Who installed/wired the zeeltronic ?
If you are sure the motor moves the wrong way, invert the two wires of the motor : black/red and black/yellow.
The three other ones are for the potentiometer.

But before doing this, how is the zeel wired ? ( pins and/or colors )

Are the servo cables attached to the pulley correctly ? - ie not reversed ?

Cheers
