kick start mechanism: Stopper missing

#1 Post by mgtj59 » Sun Nov 11, 2018 4:58 pm

Hello Everybody

I am rebuilding an engine. Unfortunately the Stopper (Part 17) is missing. Does anybody have a suggestion, what part of other Yamaha engines will fit.

Suggstions about other solutions are although welcome.

Regards, Manfred

You should be able to put in a bolt and locking nut.

Problem solved: The Stopper from the RD350 31K engine does fit into the engine housing (same size of parallel grooved pin)
but it must be extended by 10 mm.
I have welded a small pin outside the parallel grooved surface (not nice but effective)

Regards
Manfred
