If the 4 strokes are invited, I'm not going!
Ronnie, it's not too far from your place, are you going with your bike??

Re: Another UK 2-Stroke Show
I was all set to go but can't now. Got a job I need to do and can only be done sunday and I was already busy on saturday. My bike is a long way from being roadworthy. I was all set to sell it last year but saw sense and decided to get it back together but it'll be a while before i start it. Family priorities have to come first. As for the show, I'm gutted I'm not going now. I too am a bit miffed diesels are welcome. If they're classic 70's or 80's bikes it'll be okay. There's only so many R1's you can look at!

Ronnie, I ABSOLUTELY declare that you are forbidden to sell your 500....Ronnie wrote:I was all set to sell it last year but saw sense and decided to get it back together but it'll be a while before i start it.
"Four-strokes welcome" ???? Don't they realize if you do that the diesel's that show up will end up out-numbering the 2-strokes!!
If anyone is going, pictures are demanded to be posted here

Re: Another UK 2-Stroke Show
Sincere apologies your excellency, please forgive me.
I had considered selling it for a long time. I guess I had lost a bit of motivation. But when I saw Dubsey's bike last year at Donington, that confirmed my decision to keep it.
I bought some stuff off Ade Sym while I was there, still in two minds really about keeping the bike, but seeing Mark's Misstress screaming round the track as he chased down the genuine YZR500 made me realise I was thinking like an idiot. It was all I needed. Since then I've steadily built up a stock pile of trick bits, including some very nice genuine factory Yamaha YZR500 stuff. All will be revealed in due course
But I need to build a new bigger workshop before I start it and before that I need to build an extra bedroom for my 3yr old. That will be next year. The wife says we should extend the bathroom at the same time as building the extra bedroom. Yes, that's the same bathroom I broke my leg in last year while in the middle of renovating it. Is she kidding me!!!
So, it'll be a while before I make a start. But I will.
As for the show, I'm going to try to go Saturday afternoon. Can't do Sunday now but could possibly be free by 11am on Saturday morning. It's only 100 mile away so if I can I'll go.

Re: Another UK 2-Stroke Show
Here's some pics from Squire's 2-Stroke meet. Some great bikes. Not one RD500 in sight. A bit worrying. Also, a great video clip at the end!
Now click on this link, sit back and watch a 2-Stroke convoy! Great stuff! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gd_fQZ_Rdi4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
