Uploading video as I post. Not my favorite track but it has been a while since did a track day. That is a tight track as you know since you have been there a bit. Several incidents with 3 red flags. End of day had incident happen a few bikes ahead. Was rather serious with life flight coming in. The guy posted in Moto Houston after I reached out. Was an eye opener and rather scary the bikes in front of me were not involved. He said had tank slapper and could not ride it out. Was on the straight leaving Diamonds Edge. All I saw was dust and a bike shooting across the track. Had no idea who was coming behind me or where the guys were going in front of me. I hit the brakes and was deciding on left infield if it got worse. Luckily the bike went to right and we all got thru. He has 4 breaks in femur with surgery Monday. His cameras are on the field somewhere. My buddy pushed my Go Pro twice and turned my camera off or would have caught it.

I think COTA is safer and quality of bikes is better due to costs and time invested with trip.

I had several close incidents this weekend myself. A few unnecessary passes and my almost rear ending someone. The instructors need to monitor anyone advancing to a higher level. A big X on there back so everyone knows. So what if your lap times are considered fast enough. Just because a bike goes fast in a straight line does not make it road racing.

I am open on opinions, especially after seeing a few of the close call in my video because they can not go thru a corner.

Yeah I was wondering about that incident you reported on MotoHouston.

Coming out of Diamonds Edge seems an odd place to slapper, unless the bumps from cars folding up the tarmac going counter clockwise braking into Diamonds Edge are getting worse and the guy just hammered it on the way out and drifted wide.

I was seriously considering a membership there just so I could run 6 or 8 times a year on my own day of choice without the track day chaos around me.
