R6 Swingarm on RZV - Battery Box

#1 Post by Danielthedman » Mon Jan 23, 2017 12:49 am

Hi RZ Group,
I need some help. I had RGV Steve do a R6 SwingArm for my RZV. Swingarm is in and looks great but the battery box does not fit.
So My Question is - Does the Battery Box need to be Re-Located??
Please Let me know - Thanks - Danielthedman

I moved my battery up under the gas tank. Up by the coil. I made a battery box out of stiff styrofoam and it works great.
I don't run a stock airbox so that gave me the room under the tank.

I've extended the battery leads and mounted the battery in the tail, just in front of the taillight. I'm using a lithium-ion battery so it can be mounted sideways. Been running my bike like that for about 4 years with no issues.
