Dunlop tires for a RZ500?
I can get a really good deal on just about any Dunlop tires ... wondering if anyone sees anything in their US range which would work on a 1984 RZ500? I have a buddy who works in auto tires and can get a steep discount and free shipping. Suggestions?

You have ArrowMax StreetSmart in 120/80-V16 and 130/80-V18.
Don't know what it's worth.

Re: Dunlop tires for a RZ500?
I have very good experience with the SportSmart and RoadSmart tires.
The SportSmart 1 had a very good behaviour on wet road but was also good on dry road. Never had any issues with my CBR1000RR.
Lifetime was about 5000km which is also good for a sport tire.
Only point to complain is the handling. But this point can change from bike to bike.
As Dunlop mentioned that the SportSmart2 has a better handling it seems that it was a general disadvantage which they tried to solve.
I habe no experience with newer models as I used BT016Pro until now because of the price.
But I guess they are better than the first model.
With earlier Dunlop models I have bad experience.
If the dimensions are available I would give them a try.
BT45 are old and ugly. They are/were the best tires in this dimensions but compared to modern rubber they are at a completely different level.

Both my friend and I fitted Roadsmarts to our RD500s this Winter, we had our first day out on them today, only bedding them in so cant comment fully on grip etc but we both agreed that they certainly had improved the ride quality and turn in.

In which sizes ?
Re: Dunlop tires for a RZ500?
Wee correction there, we had the Streetsmarts fitted as you said above Phil, in standard sizes 120/80-16 and 130/80-18.
