Setting up Zeeltronic?

#1 Post by Vin » Sun Mar 11, 2012 9:39 am

Hi guy's,

I have fitted a zeeltronic to my bike and have done a few heat cycles only and it starts fine.

My question is do I have to do any adjustments via the handheld or something else before I try the bike on the road in earnest?

I haven't even plugged the handheld in yet but just wanted to check in here first for advice.

When I bought my PV controller for my 350 I didn't get a programmer right away so I checked and it was set on the stock curve out of the box. I think he ships them ready to use as a stock replacement and the programmer allows you to use the 'extra' features. Might not be a bad idea to drop Borut an email to confirm though.

Hi Vin,
I wouldn't want to be the one to tell you to go ahead without checking the advance curve first. You never know what's in it's memory without looking.
I started mine with handheld and min. advance, and cautiously increased the advance.
There's all sorts of curve numbers to play with at Zeeltronics site.
I'm sure people are wantinig to be careful with your bike and not ignoring this.
Good luck,
Mike

Thanks for the info guys :smt023

I had a reply from Borut too;

Anyone use the PC-USB option?

Hi Vin,
Thanks for your interest in our products.
PCDI-24V come programmed with standard settings (1GE and 47x).
No need to check with srobo light, or degree wheel. You just need to set PV full open and close positions...it is easy to do with programmer.
PCDI-24V come without connectors, so you need to fit some connectors.
PCDI-24V can be programmed with handheld programmer and PC.

Prices:
PCDI-24V 222,60euro
handheld programmer 57,00euro
PC-USB programmer 48,00euro
ZeelProg CD 1,20euro
shipping with registered post 15,00euro (shipping time 5-30days)
shipping with TNT (1kg) 28,00euro (shipping time 1-2)days)
find attached price list for connectors

Payment with bank transfer, or paypal. We charge paypal fee.

Regards,
Borut

Vin

Are you going to change the ignition curve and/or the YPVS open/close timings? I have a modified std YPVS controller that I can set the timings on but have not really played with it that much yet to find the optimal settings. Would be interested if you find some some good settings for your bike I could liberate!

cheers
