hi all, after doing quite a few mods to my 500 ie pipes, stage3 tune, 28mm carbs
have been thinking about the next stage of performance mods, Gave mick abbey a call
and he surgested changing the cdi so the question is which one?
the zeeltronic ones come in at about £290 with the hand held unit
looking on ebay there is a programmable one from singapor @£189 or
twostokerace lab do one at £39 inc p and p
Have any of you tried any of these and if so what were your findings?
regards jack.

Re: Which cdi?
have you found any information about the cdi units from someone that has a working unit installed?
Re: Which cdi?
I am using ZEELTRONICS in few of my bikes and they always work well. Borut @ Zeeltronics is giving excellent aftersales support as well. He knows his stuff.
Re: Which cdi?
he seems like a very smart guy. what i need now is the cdi and ypvs round connectors that plugs into the wiring harness. do you know of any other yamaha of the age that use the same wiring connector for there electronics?
Re: Which cdi?
I have a Zeeltronics cdi. I bought the computer plug and software instead of the handheld unit. I think it was cheaper that way. I bet the handheld unit is better though.
