Tach needle bouncing around

#1 Post by smokey » Thu Jul 11, 2013 5:29 pm

After some down time, I got the RZ out and took a ride. Seemed to be running good, however I looked down and the tach needle was bouncing around and the turn signal indicator light on the dash was flickering (turn signal was not on). This morning no electrical power at all. I haven't determined if the new battery is dead or if I have a short. I'm inclined to think its a grounding problem, though not positive. I'm out of my element with electrical issues, any ideas?

Thanks for the help, D.

It turned out to be a combination of the fuse box under the dash as well as a grounding issue. How does a fuse that hasn't been touched in 30 years become loose in its holder? :smt017
