anyone know where to get this tail light

i want to get a led tail light . same size as stock , i have started to make one out of 3 48 smd leds but have not finished yet , i dont want to put those crappy led bulbs in it

then i saw this , towards bottom of the page . says he got it off ebay . but i cant find anything

I'm sure you can now get coloured 12VDC LED replacement indicator and stop-light globes

Hi got my LED rear light from these people. I am sure when I ordered mine it was shown as specifically for the RD500 but cannot find one that states this now, so although I belive lens is the same etc not totally sure other connections would fit. It is real bright and bolts straight in and it houses built in indicators as well although I have not used this function on mine. See mine in Members Rides - Rich's modified RD500.

thanks for the help . i found them after silverstrom gave me the link to the ebay site

they only have the one you have with built in indicators

they will have the normal ones with smoke lense in stock in october , so i will wait till then

im prety sure good old yamaha heve just used the same light for heaps of models . it it does not fit i will make it fit

Yeah, it also fits the 86-87 RZ350 and other bikes.

I got a smoked lens off ebay, a while back.

From memory, the TRX uses the same tail light lense, so you might be able to get something for a TRX that you can make work.

heaps of yamahas have the same light as the 500

but its been hard finding a led one . only the one from ebay but they have sold out of the smoke with just tail light , they only have one with indicators
