Good luck with that. The stator also includes the ignition coils which are capacitive discharge rather than the more common 4stroke inductive ignition type. If you can find one, a replacement stock used unit would be your best bet.

Thanks lance have goggled about this, ie stator has exciter coils to power cdi turns out my cdi is u/s ,bought cdi replacement from tunebox horsepower the one that comes with inhouse made plug didn't work on my rzv so purchased the interface with cd still no joy I've manage to remove silicone and glass /unpot the cdi casing on the one that is not working to uncover circuit board resistors ic's ,diode ,capacitors etc have replaced 2 of the capacitors 50v 10uf and the larger one 10v 470uf still not working but have noted a couple of resistors open circuit will change these if not will replace parts but have measured diodes all seems to be ok what would be good if somewhere there is a manufacturers schematic of the circuit components of the cdi and whether 51x 47x 52x 53x 1gg 1ge cdi's are different ie components the ic specs will be different for ignition curve as early versions tail off abruptly compared to later versions. Thanks for the heads up regards bill
