Fuel level sender RZV

Hi
I have a very tired fuel sender, looks very sorry for itself, rusty, contact wiper hinge wobbly loosing contact.
just wondered as seeing as its the same gasket as the xjr 1200 and 1300 and probably a few more Yamaha's whether anybody has tried fitting one off another model.
might need a few tweaks, float arm length etc but maybe worth a go if i find a cheap one.
