Hi,
I've bought an aftermarket CDI ECU - the instructions say that I must use resistive plugs and caps.
Is the NGK BR9HS a resistive plug ? - can anyone recommend which NGK plug cap I should be looking for ?
BTW - what is a resistive plug - what does it mean ?
Many thanks.
Regards
Paul

Re: Resistive Plugs and Caps
The plug caps should have a resistor element built inside which can be measured with a mulimeter at around 5-6 K ohms. The plugs are what they are. They specify resistive plugs and caps to prevent RFI interference with the sensitive electronics near by.

Re: Resistive Plugs and Caps
Regarding your NGK plug question - yes, they are resistor type.
In the plug designation, the "R" denotes resistor type (BR9HS), whereas a B9HS plus is a non-resistor type.

Thank you both for the information.
