Zeeltronics set up
PV controller stopped working again so I soldered all the connections again. This is the controller from my street bike that I have been using. I have a Zeeltronics and was interested on any hints on swapping out. Looks straight forward and I do have a spare plug from my bad controller. Thanks.
Re: Zeeltronics set up
Have you looked into getting your box rebuilt? check out http://www.twostrokeracelab.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; his Name is Nick he is in Greece, he rebuilds PV"s and sets them up with switches so you can set them to open at different RPM's, I had mine done and seems to work good.

No I have not. I need a second one anyway for my street bike. This could be an option. I will look up the site. I clicked on your link and came up all Japanese. After soldering it is working again. Question is how long. I have another one but some of the diodes are burnt out. Thanks for the info.

Re: Zeeltronics set up
Nick has modified controllers for me. I think it's the easiest solution for controlling powervalve open/close points. No need to modify wiring and no complicated programming. Move the DIP switches to select the RPM you want.

Silverstrom, can Nick repair broken PV controllers? I have one that does not work.

Yes, he can. Go to his website and scroll down and you'll see YPVS Controller Repair-Service.cainpole wrote:Silverstrom, can Nick repair broken PV controllers? I have one that does not work.
The previous website address was wrong. He changed it in April 2015. You'll find him here http://www.2t-racelab.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks will do. I am sure I can do some research but mine is a 47X and what is the stock controller set at? Has anyone used the shift kill feature on the Zeeltronic?

Re: Zeeltronics set up
Thanks. My solder repair has the old one working Pulled the Zeeltronic controller out and says RD500 on case. The programmer is VCDI. Does not have the 24 after it. Can not find a wiring diagram for the controller and I was wondering if the programmer will work. There are not enough wires on the RD500 controller. I think the broken ones are going in the mail. Thanks for the help.
Re: Zeeltronics set up
Borut came through. have a wiring diagram for the older controller. I am sure the programmer should be good. he did not mention anything about it.
Re: Zeeltronics set up
If you manage to just hook up 12V to the controller with the handheld attached, it'll show you the signature of the box (i,e. PPV Version xyz or VCDI Version xyz)

Please note that this is the stock setting, but it's total crap.silverstrom wrote:6150 RPM - 7950 RPMpstamper wrote: what is the stock controller set at?
Even stock RD500 benefit from a much later full opening like 9-10000 rpm.
I had 2 customer RD500 with pipes (DIY and JL) that had huge dips in their torque curves which were completely cured with the RD500_mod2 setting above (fully open > 10000 rpm).

Thanks. Managed to shim controller in the back and worked all day. Should have video up Monday. Rain tires worked great.
