Koso and ignition key

#1 Post by Stinke » Mon Mar 28, 2016 12:13 pm

Hi, just installed Koso Rx2 after a rebuild of the bike. The Koso works fine and so does the bike but I can not turn off the engine with the key ?? I have to kill it with engine stop. Any ideas what went wrong? I hooked up the main red and brown from the ignition.

Usually the Koso does not have to do anything with the kill switch function so my guess is that during working you disconnected a plug. I'd double check that.

The ignition switch grounds the red/white wire on the CDI.
If you have a look here:

my suspect goes to the single bullet connector at the black/white cable on the switch.

If you use a Zeeltronic or Ignitech you can interrupt ignition either by grounding a pin or simply shutting off the 12V supply.

Sorry, I do not have an answer for you but I can offer this.

I have installed the Koso and the key switch works as it should. So it can be done.

Hopefully what MK wrote will help you out.

Beyond that you will just need to trace wires. If everything else is working it seems like it will be something simple.

Did it work before the Koso?
