Hello Fellow Club Members and Future Club Members:
Was wondering if anyone has performed a peak voltage test on the output of the stator at RPM. Looking to upgrade to a newer lithium battery but the manufacturer wants me to be sure of the max volts at recharge as they can overheat and catch fire.
Any info appreciated.

Re: Max Voltage Test....
The max tension/voltage is defined by the regulator and is between 14,3V and 15,3V.

And that is typically attained by 5000 RPM.

Hi Bill.
I can't answer your question, however I am running a four cell ballistic battery which is per their website
EVO Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (LiFePO4) technology
A little over 1000 miles now and no fires yet.

Re: Max Voltage Test....
I run those in my EFI RZ:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Lithium-Ionen-Ba ... 35ea763cef" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Except early death by deep discharge after forgetting to switch off ignition there were no issues yet. They have a built-in battery control system that takes care of voltage and cell balancing.
If you search then look for LiFePo, not LiPo. The latter one tend to work as explosives if mistreated, the first one are rather save in automotive use.
