500 Two-Stroke Tech

Any ideas could this be handlebar switch problem.
Brake switched and filaments look OK....

All turn signals work just replaced the front 2 with new OEM as they had scratches on them.
Switch on and front and rear lights come on. All turn signals work. Just Brake lights are not coming on when front or rear brake used.
If signal fuse was gone wouldn't the signals not work? Just drained the battery (left switch on ) will check again tomorrow.
Still a newbie on these and not too good with wiggly amps anyway. Thanks for your reply.....

Sorry, I misread your first post and thought you said signals weren't working.

The only connection between the front brake electrical and rear brake electrical is at the bulbs. Did you replace tail light/brake light bulbs? They should be dual filament bulbs. Right now it sounds like they are single filament type. Check and verify. Single filament type would give you the tail light, but no brake light because the second filament for the brake light isn't there. If you do have dual filament bulbs it sounds like the second filament is blown on both bulbs.

It's easy to confuse the single filament 1156 bulb with the 1157 dual filament bulb if you're not familiar with them.

Yes being a simpleton and lazy I went straight to the bulbs first.
Both bulbs are dual filament and both look good. I will get 2 more anyway.
Front brake switch and rear brake switch connections removed cleaned and refitted.
When my battery has recharged I will check any earths around it and maybe ring out the loom and go from there.

OK while waiting for the battery to charge I cleaned all connections and earths involved.
When charged front brake light now works, rear still no go so either rear switch ions or needs adjusting.
Will check it out when I find out where it is buried....Thanks again for your input
