Ignition Switch

#1 Post by Vin » Wed Mar 07, 2018 3:59 pm

I read on here somewhere that pattern ignition switch's may be slightly shorter than the originals making them sit lower in the 1GE yoke ....is this correct? if so has anyone bought a pattern switch the correct length?

Steve, may need your help on this one :smt017

Near the bottom of this page Vin. http://www.rzrd500.com/500phpBB3/viewto ... ion+switch" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; There is a photo showing the shorter pattern switch in a 1GE top clamp. With a 47X top clamp it should not be an issue.

My thinking is that the TZR and RD350 YPVS ignition switch is the same as the RD500 switch. Not sure how the plugs are wired, although Yamaha is famous for using one part across many models. I may have a few different switches here and can check if required.
