RDdecals.com. Mark is the best in the business. I've used his decals for many restorations and projects. He will do custom work as well

I used his decals on this one a few weeks ago.

I also have a set from him, they look good and seem to be good quality.
Can`t tell you how accurate they are compared to the original, but as they are often used it should be OK.

The Vinyl is Oracal 751C, the same as I`m using in my vinyl cutter (just can`t print on it).
I have good experience with this stuff.

Thanks everyone, I went ahead and ordered the decals from rddecals. Will post the results when done.

Hello Silverstrom,
my blue stripe for the belly pan is wider at one end - it goes from 20mm to 25mm. Does the wider end go in front or in the back?

Also, are you going to put clearcoat on top of the decals? I know that original bodywork does not have it, but it may add extra protection for the decals. On the other hand, often these clearcoated fairings look "over-restored" if you know what I mean.

I heard it`s not good to use clear coat over decals on flexible parts.
If you bend it, the clear coat can break off the vinyl.

This is why they don`t use clear coat in mass production except on steel tanks (my Fireblade plastic tank cover has also no clear coat on it)

If I remember correctly, the wider part goes to the rear. That should be the curved section of the decal. https://rddecals.afegraphics.com/view_p ... Kit-R00435" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

No, I didn't clear coat over them. I've restored many bikes and used many decals. The only decals with clear coat are on the gas tank. As Speed Freak notes, clearing over decals on plastic can lead to problems. Now, having just said that, I do clear coat over decals on custom projects that use fiberglass bodywork.

Are Marks's decals (RDdecals) glossy like the originals? I have ordered the decal set from reproductiondecals (Diaböo cycles) and they ar a bit dull, so would require clearcoating to look glossy like the originals. I need to decide whether to Order Mark's decals or apply extra clearcoat to mine
