Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
I am constantly amazed at the level of knowledge here. A rare Harris framed and Stavros raced bike is found and as soon as the new owner posts here he is presented with the history of the bike and the all important fairing information. You guys rock

Im very glad to see that you have moulds for the seat.
I will take some pictures of the fairings I got and contact you on email later this week.
Calle,
Take some photos showing the internal structure/layout of the fairings, especially the lowers/belly pan. The belly pan looks a little different to other TZ500J fairings I have seen - and I would be surprised if a proper Harris team effort would use a YZR500 seat and not use a YZR500 fairing. If you can, please post the photos in this thread as well.
I am really hoping that these are real YZR500 OW53/54 fairings and if they are I am very confident that Johnny will be able to turn those damaged fairings back into master pieces.

Another interesting read of similar Harris frame effort back in the day from Jackson.40's original 2009 post. Scroll down for the article "Out of stock" also the Padgett's bike. Hopefully those fabulous hydroformed Gibson chambers survived.

Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
There seems to be a crossover period where Steve Parish campaigned a TZ500J then what looks like a reframed TZ500 or might even be some sort of OW53/TZ500 hybrid if not a proper OW53
Since one of the articles above mentions the OW53 seat and OW53 ignition - the fairing on the Harris Parish bike looks like the fairing on the YZR-like bike, complete with nose radiator cutout.
It really does look like the fairing is a proper OW53 unit.
Photos of Parish in full race combat.

Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
I have emailed a link of this thread to Steve Parish and he has confirmed it was his bike.
I will see if i can get hold of Dave Johnson as well.

Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
Great effort Steve.
It would be fantastic to confirm the progression of the types of bikes/chassis that are portrayed in that Highsider photo spread.
The progression from campaigning TZ through what appears to be YZR and then culminating in the hybrid street/race/custom Harris F1 entry.

Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
Hi The seat is from a mould taken from a Yamaha 0W53 The seat is stiil avaible in the UK only to special order
If one is needed let me know and i will give you telephone number from the firm that has the mould .
The fairing is from a TZ500 G/H model avalible still from Mead Speed in the UK
As can the front mudguard

Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
I guess that answered that then
A little sad but also good news. There are a number of TZ500 fairing sources out there these days. I got mine in the states, but there are sources in the UK, Germany and even Sweden I believe.

Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
Hi Calle
i built the bike for Steve Parrish when i worked for him !
The motor i did in our workshop at Steves house
It has a higher 1st and second gear in the gear box
The basic frame body was made in the celler at Harris Performace then i took it home to to ous workshop and weldep all the other parts on
if you ever want to sell it like it is i would like first option on buying it please
regards mushroom

Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
Hi Mushroom,
Please give us more information on this bike, particularly the engine.
Any YZR parts used or just tricked up RD stuff?
Appreciate any comments!

Re: Help to identify seat and fairing.
Thanks for that.
Interesting how the motor is hung without what appears to be use of a full cradle.
That answers that then doesn't it - I think my build just got a second lease on life ...
