It's probably worth it even for the seal alone..

Hi, i tried to do the capswap with the ybr 125, thanks for the info for this i'd say first.

The prob is: I can't get the lock mechanism out of the original.
I came this far: At the inside i removed the washer, then the first rubber. But i see another rubber and no clip (like the ybr) to push in and get the lock mechanism out. What is the next step?

Thanks allready,

Richard

Hi Richard

Some times there are two o rings to remove,i use a small screwdriver and care to take these out.You should then see the tab you need to push in,it will only push in with the key not in the lock.

Hej, I've just ordered a 125 YBR cap on Aliexpress, at 13$ .

Will let you know if it's worth it... if I ever receive it :smt005 .

Not bad at all !

I've received the Aliexpress YBR125 cap today.
Quality is okay. Let's even say pretty good.
Nothing to say about the assembly, the lock works well and smoothly. It fits the tank very well.
I assume the top surface may have marks quickly if I don't take care, but that's okay for the price.
That's what I expected, maybe slightly better.

For $ 13, I recommend  .

The cap is a bit high when plugged in, but I think it was similar on the original one.

Do you see the pictures of the cap in my post above? I'm wondering if I have issues with the sharing rights of this album.

Too bad it's highly radioactive as evidenced by the paint on the top of the tank being burned away just by being in close proximity of the new cap. Be sure to sit back in the saddle when you ride, my friend.

I guess there ain't no free lunch.

A quick Google translate to Japanese for "Shiny New Fuel Cap" produced the clue.....
