It looks like cutter deflection caused this. Either the cutter was starting to get dull or they all will look this way. If it were mine, I'd use a die grinder with a sanding disk and polish it in.

Dunno if it's offered in the US but in Germany PayPal now refunds international return shipping up to 25 Eur if item was fully paid via PayPal and seller requires shipping back at own costs.
They do it up to 12 times a year for people specialized on picking those items from the drawer with the "send me back" label :-)

Thanks for the info.

I got the spindle bolt from ebay.uk. I guess ebay has the same rule. The seller said he couldn't send a return label for international shipping. Ebay instructions are for me to pay return shipping and the seller will have to reimburse me for the cost.

I'll be polishing and titanium nitride coating all the hardware - but I think the imperfections on the bolt are too deep to polish out without ruining the contours/shape.

Sent back the spindle bolt with the defects.
Looks like the seller doesn't want to sell to me after the return.
Based on this transaction, I have to say:

Finally got the kickstand bracket drawing into a shape I can live with. If the titanium part comes out like my design, I'll be very happy.

Still need to figure out the new dimensions after all the changes, and make decent drawings with numbers.

Will also draw the top mount from the kickstand. Might help the person who does the CAD drawing.

Good news. The 9.53mm titanium rod I bought for the tank mount clevis pin is also a good size for cutting the 8mm kickstand bracket pin.

Searching for a low height titanium M10 x 1.25 nut. (Locking, or non-locking.)

Not finding any.

To replace the kickstand nut.

If I have to.

I did find non-locking half nuts in stainless that are M10 x 1.25.

The only titanium (non-locking) half nuts I found are M10 x 1.50.

I spoke with the guy (in GB) who made those titanium half nuts. He said he could make them for me with a 1.25 thread. Will probably take a month, or more, but the price is more like retail than one-off.

Got titanium caliper bolts and axle pinch bolts.

Copied the Brembo caliper spacers in titanium.

Got an OEM spindle bolt to use until the titanium one is ready.

Was finally able to test fit the custom front axle, wheel, rotors, and calipers. No problems.

I think the caliper spacers can be lighter.

More progress.

Will finish up the hardware I started on, and the kickstand bracket.

Next are the triples. Big problem is I don't know what headlight and gauges. Need to figure that out before drawing the upper triple.

Contacted carbonfiberracing.com about getting some parts.

Their prices are higher than most, so hopefully that will reflect the quality.

I ordered the same 5 parts as before. They emailed me one photo of their R6 hugger installed, for me to check the weave pattern. Weave pattern (plain 1x1) is correct, but I noticed something else:

Doesn't look like it fits well, at all. I asked them about the photo, and they agreed that it doesn't look good in the photo. They said they have sold many without problems. Of course, that's exactly what MDI said when they sent parts that were absolute shit.

I backed out on the big order and just ordered the hugger (first) to check the fit. They seemed to understand, so we'll see what happens. The company was recommended to me for having good parts, so I still expect things to go well.
