Always appreciate your help.

I still can't go back to my job, so I'm doing everything I can to finish my projects.

Sorry if I'm making you guys tired of all my posting. If I go back to work - it will wind back down.

I just emailed my guy at the Yamaha shop 5 minutes from here. I asked about the 3 items that boats.net say are on backorder. I'll let you know what he says.

You can get the 47X-22184-00-00 BUSH on eBay for $45 US https://www.ebay.ca/itm/YAMAHA-BUSH-YZF ... 47&vxp=mtr" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

All of the items are available at CMS. When I buy from them delivery is only a few days. You may pay a little more, but it's worth it just to have the parts when you need them and not be sidelined waiting for backordered parts to arrive. https://www.cmsnl.com/yamaha-rd500lc-19 ... ml#results" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Most suppliers are ordering from Yamaha, including boats.net. I always tell people it's easier to just give your closest Yamaha dealer the part number and cut out the middleman. It will typically be faster and cheaper.

Haven't had good luck with dealers nearby me. Not interested in ordering small parts. And usually have to pay double internet prices. Maybe it's just the L.A. types. I'll do what I have to though. Got an interested fabricator.

In the User Control Panel, you'll find Friends and Foes.

If you enter any user name in the Foes section - it's like they never existed on the site! All the posts just disappear.

Just learned about it. Actually, much better than I thought. :smt004

One problem with ordering RZV500 parts is that some suppliers don't use part numbers. And they don't list parts fiches for bikes sold outside the US.

Pete, obviously I can't speak for all but I for one enjoy when there is something new to read on this forum. Speaking as probably one of the younger members on here I for one don't "know it all" or have "seen it all". I simply enjoy reading about 2 stroke bikes. Sometimes I get the impression from some on here that there is no need at all to ask a single question or post a any thought because apparently "it's all been done before"? Just use the search button! By that thinking this whole site should just be in an archive form I guess? Like a tool you simply read and reference, um, like a you know, a book??? Forgive me if I'm wrong but I thought the point of this was to share ideas and questions or maybe even use it as a sounding board for thoughts on these cool bikes? I really don't understand why guys just can't simply "not read" a topic they don't care about?

Just my 2 cents, probably doesn't mean much but it's how I feel. I vote you keep sharing.

Keep posting Pete! Always something interesting and inspiring. Maybe it's me being old, but this forum is about interaction as far as I am concerned. Quite the opposite of the current trend of social media and the "it's all about about me world" just wanting to see and hear themselves.

Appreciate your support, guys.

Definitely will continue to post. Too many friends here, to just bail out. Not my style. Also don't want to lower myself to argue about stupid stuff. That "ignore" button is great. No more issues.

Sending off an email to Friendly now. Will let you guys know what they say.

Just laughing and shaking my head. :mrgreen:

I got the idea to use the OEM sized pivot tube, thinking that it would be better for clearance.

Got a message from Sebspeed saying- "If those parts are hard to get, we could use the R6 parts, if you're okay with that."

The answer is so simple. :smt102

I already sent an email to Friendly, so we'll see what they say.

The R6 parts are probably readily available.

Thanks, John.

If Friendly can find the OEM parts fast, then I'm committed to that. The swingarm will be lighter with RZ parts, so that's all good.

If not, the R6 pivot parts are already on the swingarm. Don't have to wait on the new parts. :smt001

I think there may not be much clearance issue with the YPVS motor and the custom swingarm. There won't be a solid plate on top between the pivot tube and upper brace.

YPVS motor might need to be moved a little to the right. Not sure yet. I've heard some guys leave the shock hole open on the R6 arm for the same reason.

Wanted to post this right away.

RGVSteve is always trying to help me to accomplish my goals. :smt006

Probably a lot of owners with Steve's R6 arm (like me) don't realize there are no R6 parts in there!

It's RZ parts with Steve's custom work to make everything fit properly. Not a secret, I just didn't know.

If the RZ parts aren't available, we can use whatever bearings and parts will fit, and design our own pivot tube.
