Terry Shephard Framed RD 500

#1 Post by Ade SYM » Wed Sep 30, 2015 6:42 pm

Hi

Does any body know anything about this bike?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151833874316? ... EBIDX%3AIT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Looks to have a lot of good bits on it and the engine is TS tuned - Forks look IMO early TZ Ohlins but owner suggests anodised black?

Like the carbon tank and self supported seat unit - Looks like something from a Honda NSR?

Looks like a lot of work has gone into this bike over the years but not quite finished but could be a good project??

Thanks

Ade

This is the one Ade. I remember following the build at the time then it just stopped. The pics have been removed though.

I can remember that build from long ago - I've got some pics somewhere.

Cheers

I was interested in this but Ronnie you are right the frame really worried me as it looks very thin and unsure it would have lived up to scrutiny on the track.

Just spoke to the owner and it is now sold so hopefully the New Owner can show the progress with it in the future?

I am sure it will come out nice as there were some great bits on it and was ripe for restoration / Improving.

Any one know who the New Owner is???

Thanks

Ade

Hi Ade if you are thinking of building this bike back up with out a kick starter I still have
a bottom crankcase and clutch cover that someone has cut off where the kick starter went.
Another idea.
Cheers Ron.
